Poems of the City of Bell

We wrote some poems about the City of Bell, past and present.
We sent them to a famous author of children's stories and poetry, Francisco X.Alarcon.
Here are our poems.  We hope you like them.

Hello Mr.Fransisco X. Alarcon,
This is a poem from Barbara and Melina. We are in Mrs.Swayne's class room 104.   We are 3 graders.
These are our poems for today:

River by Melina S.

Los Angeles river
That`s  the name of the river
That`s crying  loudy as it flows
down through our City.
It is crying because
it`s has ugly smelling
Things floating in it.
When they clean
the river,he is
very happy and he
smiles as wide
as the wide sky.

The River
by Barbara A.

The river is happy,

        the river is singing

                because long time ago
it had children to play
 around it.

Now the river is hurting,
    the river
is sad because not long ago

they throw trash in it.

       Hear the river talking
 and remembering
long  time ago when you could

smell the fresh water breeze,

       and hear the splashing.
But not now.

People of Bell
must not forget
how beautiful
              it once was.

The  City   Of  Bell
by   Maria  Leal

This  is  my   City  of   Bell.
This   is   where  I   live.
I  see  the  mountains   are
proud because they  see
the   City  of  Bell.

Bell House
By Byanka G.

My community has
a historical house
it’s blue and white
and it’s called
the Bell House.
Sweet,
  Fresh,
   Clean and
    Beautiful, grass
       and flowers greet you.

The birds are chirping because
They are so proud to have
A wonderful house in
Their neighborhood.
